RB-530 & RB-730 in an eye-tracking experiment

Hello,

In my eye-tracking experiment (developed with Experiment Builder) neither the RB-530 nor the RB-730 seem to work in the recording sequence (in which the ‘Is Real Time’ option is ticked). I use an Eye Link II tracker and Windows 2000 professional as an operating system.
In the Experiment Builder manual it says that the Cedrus button box does not function in real-time sequences on some operating systems. Can anyone confirm that this is the case here? Is there something I can do about it?

Thank you,

Aline

From my understanding of how Real Time priority works in Windows, all other processes are likely starved from processing time while your sequence is running. This would include the drivers for the button box. If you were running on a multi-core/multi-processor system, this would not be a problem.
