Optical Trigger Adapter for Siemens Scanners?

I had a basic question. I want to purchase the LP400 system, model LU400-Pair. In the order section it lists the Optical Trigger Adapter for Siemens Scanners along with the LP400 system. We may be using this response pad with a Siemens Scanner, do we have to purchase this trigger adapter as well?

The Optical Trigger Adapter for Siemens Scanner interfaces the Lumina system to the fMRI scanner. If you already have an interfaced adapter/cable then you don’t need the trigger adapter.
