I’m trying to figure out if we can use a c-pod with e-prime using a parallel port. We have a c-pod for biopic. The sample e-prime code (Using StimTracker with E-Prime) using a serial port (COM), but can we use a parallel port (LRT) with E-prime 3.0 and connect biopic via c-pod?
c-pod cannot be used with a parallel port. It connects to a computer’s USB port.
The reason that the support page shows sample code for a serial port is because, once the USB driver for c-pod is installed, it creates a virtual COM port (serial port). Any software that is written to communicate with a serial port would therefore be able to communicate with c-pod as well.
