Delayed Response with E-Prime

My lab has recently ordered the RB-530 box to use with E-Prime. It’s configuration works nicely with our experiments. However, we have a problem. While we can use the RB-530, it is finicky. Our ability to enter a response is slow, requiring at least two hits of the button to log a response. This is problematic as we are measuring response time in our experiment.

Is there a way to fix this? Is it a known issue?

I’m running the latest version of E-Prime on a Windows 8 computer…

Moreover, any button I press logs a response in E-Prime, even for numbers I have not turned on!

Troubleshooting these issues is difficult without seeing it and trying different things and is better handled over the phone. I’ll send you a private message.
