I am setting up an experiment in which participants have to recognise real words embedded in nonsense words.
As soon as they hear a real word at the begining of a nonsense word they have to press a mouse key. This is no problem but … then, they have to say what the real word was and I need to record their response. Can Superlab do this for me?
Just a random comment–sometimes it is acceptable for the subject to type the word they heard; this is something that Superlab can do. And, it saves you having to transcribe the oral responses.
Of course, sometimes this approach wouldn’t be acceptable at all, but I thought I’d make the suggestion, just in case you hadn’t already considered it.
