Hi All,

I need confirmation about how RT s are recorded - I’m sure the answer is simple however… please could someone confirm that the RT begins recording as soon as the trial begins and stops when the participant makes a response. Sorry if this seems obvious, I have never used the RT facility before so I’m not sure how it works. Can I assume that the RT shown in the data file is the correct measurement from trial onset to response?

I have done a practice run and this would seem correct. Can someone also confirm that the measure is in milliseconds?

RT starts at the onset of the first event in the trial. If this first event happens to be the stimulus then yes, the RT is recording on the onset. However, if the trial starts with a cue or or a fixation point, then you need to use the Reset RT timer option explicitly.
