problems with log files

Hi,

We are quite a bit confused about SuperLab log files… Any help, corrections or suggestions are welcome!

I’m attaching an experiment designed to explore what’s going on with the log files.

First block:
Stimuli presented in fixed order
Stim duration = 1000 msec
Constant ISI = 1000 msec

Second block
Stimuli presented in fixed order
Stim duration = 1000 msec
Variable ISI = 1000, 5000 msec

Third block
Stimuli presented in random order
Stim duration = 1000 msec
Variable ISI = 1000, 5000 msec

Also included in the attachments is a typical log file (both in txt and xls formats).

Questions:

  1. Why are the ISI showed in the “ISI Durations (Trial Variable)” column almost always the same? This does not correspond with the actual ISI observed in the experiment.

  2. Why the stimuli presentation times are not shown?

  3. Why do we get in the “Correct Response” different data for the same randomized stimuli?

  4. Why are constant isi and constant stimuli presentation times are not displayed?
