mouse input

Hello,

I was wondering if it would be possible to freeze the mouse on events that do not have a response input. We have an object moving across the screen and do not want participants tracking it with their mouse pointers.

Also, is it possible to change the mouse pointer to a cross (+) or something different from the arrow, or does it just take whatever the computer’s setting is?

Thank you,
Mike

SuperLab doesn’t do anything with the actual cursor, so if you want something different, you’d have to change it through the system settings (on Windows) or find a system hack (on Mac).

SuperLab won’t “freeze” the mouse, but you can disable it for events that do not have a mouse response. This is in the Participant Input dialog under the “Options” tab. You want “Look for Input From Mouse or Touch Screen” “Only if an event designates a mouse response as correct.”
