SV-1 Voice Key and Verbal Responses

I am running an experiment where participants are requested to read a word, and the RT will be taken at the onset of their reading of the word. I have multiple microphones that are all installed on the computer, but I do not have the “SV-1 Voice Key” product.

I am curious if I can connect a microphone directly to superlab and be able to get a result. If I cannot, is the SV-1 voice key the only compatible equipment in order to take verbal response times?

On the Mac you can use your microphone, or the built-in microphone on the computer. If you are on a PC, you do need an SV-1.
