Programming n-back

Hi everyone,

I just started as a research assistant in a psych lab and I have a pretty basic question – how do I program a simple n-back test using SuperLab? We just want a 2-back test that uses words as stimuli, and we’re interested in measuring reaction time and accuracy.

Thanks in advance for your help

SuperLab does not have a built in facility for n-back experiments. It most likely can be done, however the experiment would need to use Macros.

Monika, I understand what you’re saying, but I was just wondering if you had any more specific advice. I’ve heard that the n-back is relatively simple to program with SuperLab and I think I just need to be pointed in the right direction.

Specifically, I’m not sure how to get SuperLab to refer back to previous trials to identify if a response is correct or not. Is there any documentation on this or on similar experiments?

I think the experiment posted on the following thread should be beneficial to you: http://community.cedrus.com/showthread.php?t=821
