Recommended serial port hardware (will this work?)

Dear All,

I wonder if anyone had any experience of using the following to interface to the Cedrus Lumina LSC-400 via the serial port?

https://www.uk.insight.com/en-gb/productinfo/io-adapters/0001525888-00000001

Relevant details:
Chipset = Moschip MCS9901CV-CC
UART = 16C450/16C550
Speed = Serial: 250 Kb/s (per port) / Parallel: 1.5Mb/s

The main restriction we have is that we’re trying to shoe-horn this into a small form factor Dell PC - which will be used for stimulus delivery in an MRI setting - and the machine only has one spare PCI-E slot available. The other is taken up by the graphics card.

Best wishes,

Jon

At Cedrus, the only adapter we recommend is the USB-COM-U13 from Saelig.
