randomizing events, Posted January 16th, 2007 #1
I created a list that includes multiple folders. When I then ask that the list be randomized, it appears that the files within each folder is randomized BUT the folders are run in order. Do all stimuli have to be in the same folder for randomization to work with picture stimuli?

The reason I ask is that it is incredibly easy to put the different conditions in separate folders and then assign condition codes to each folder.

If I have to put all the stimuli in a single folder, then it will mean that I still have to assign condition codes file by file

Hi Sandy,

I tried to duplicate what you described but couldn't. See the attached experiment; if I've misunderstood the problem, please let me know!

Hisham.
