string input data record, Posted May 19th, 2016 #1

I am using superlab 4.5, and I was wondering if there is a way to allow the data to record responses from the string input option. I have read another thread and tried to follow the instructions there but to no avail.

Particularly I require this data record for two parts of an experiment; one - where participants are given 3 minutes to type a short paragraph, and two - where participants are given 3 minutes to type words for free recall. I would like superlab to record these responses, so far, the data just says that they responded but does not actually record the responses (i.e., typed words or sentences).

Please let me know what I can do. Thanks.
- I have attached an example of the experiment I am trying to implement

What version of SuperLab 4.5 are you using?

SuperLab 4.5.2 fixed a bug where string input was not being saved for events set on a time limit. You can look at the details here.

Any newer version will automatically save string input. Follow this link to update to the latest version of SuperLab 4.5.
