Tactile (vibration) stimulus

Hi,

We are planning to do a reaction time paradigm in which participants have to
react as quickly as possible to either a visual stimulus on the computer
screen or to a tactile (vibration) stimulus on their arm. The tactile
vibration stimulus should be managed by Superlab.

Has anyone done a similar experiment with Superlab already? What kind of
tactile (vibration) stimulus have you used?

I would be very grateful for any advice.

My answer might be a bit late for you, but we are doing something somewhat similar to what you are planning (or have done). We use tactile stimulators sold by Audiological Engineering. (http://tactaid.com/skinstimulator.html). We use a Coulbourn signal generator and rise fall switches to produce the vibration and shape the signal. We control the (old) Coulbourn equipment through SuperLab using a Measurement Computing PCI-DIO24 I/O card.
